Registered Nurse - 4616 (Day)

• Day shift position
• Perform nursing assessments on all patients within 8 hours of admission
• Develop and follow individualized plans of care based on assessment data
• Provide patient information and status updates for Initial Team Conferences and weekly Re-evaluation Team Conferences
• Document all assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and in a timely manner
• Participate in patient rehabilitation programs on assigned unit
• Utilize the nursing process of assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care
• Initiate discharge planning from the day of admission and provide patient teaching in anticipation of discharge
• Communicate changes in patient status to attending physicians and Charge Nurses to support continuity of care
• Provide direction, training, and supervision of Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, and orientees
• Assume charge responsibility following orientation period as requested
• Prioritize patient safety and maintain focus on safe patient handling, infection control, and workplace safety standards
• Maintain communication with manager and senior nursing staff regarding supplies, equipment, and clinical training needs
• Minimum two (2) years of bedside clinical experience required
• PCU/Critical Care experience highly desired
• BLS Certification required prior to first shift
• ACLS required prior to first shift (CIRH only)
