Job Description
The Quality Associate will work Monday to Friday with flexible shifts from 8 am to 5 pm or 9 am to 6 pm. The role involves performing measurements and controls on finished products and components, handling incoming inspection activities, non-conformity reporting, and calibration of measurement equipment. The position requires supporting continuous improvement projects and ensuring customer requirements are fulfilled.
Responsibilities- Perform measurements and controls on finished products and components.
- Handle incoming inspection activities and non-conformity reporting to suppliers.
- Handle calibration measurement equipment and conduct periodical controls for special processes.
- Support and manage continuous improvement projects in alignment with strategy.
- File and create code plates for finished units and verify data accuracy.
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams, handling documentation and data entry.
- Stamp letters and numbers on metal nameplates using automated equipment.
- Compile, create, and distribute final documentation packages for completed testing.
- Review production documentation for quality and code compliance.
- Generate, copy, and distribute code nameplates and customer-requested quality compliance documentation.
- Retrieve and distribute archived documentation and perform final reviews.
- Process nonconformance reports and follow up on corrective actions.
- Perform internal quality audits and reviews.
- Strong data review skills.
- Proficiency in measurement techniques and use of measurement equipment.
- Excellent technical writing skills.
- Strong time management and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to multi-task effectively.
- Must have a high school diploma or GED.
- Experience in a fast-paced environment is beneficial.

Work EnvironmentThe facility is ISO
9001 certified, clean, organized, and features a large manufacturing floor with clearly labeled sections. Employees will work closely with different production departments, requiring PPE in the warehouse, which may be removed in the office area. Initial training may start as early as 6 am with shifts likely from 7 am-4 pm or 8 am-5 pm.
This is a Contract position based out of Richmond, VA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
