Process Quality Specialist

Pay: $35.00 - $38.00 per hour
Job SummaryThe Process Quality Specialist is responsible for developing and implementing quality assurance processes to ensure product accuracy, reliability, and customer satisfaction. This role involves analyzing manufacturing processes, resolving customer complaints, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. Working with cross-functional teams, the specialist supports quality standards for critical power products and ensures compliance with industry regulations while enhancing operational efficiency.
Job Responsibilities- Develop and maintain Quality Plans, Control Plans, and inspection checklists to support production and quality standards
- Define Critical to Quality (CTQ) parameters and establish quality control checkpoints
- Monitor and analyze First Pass Yield metrics to identify improvement opportunities and enhance production efficiency
- Investigate customer complaints, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive actions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams during audits, factory acceptance testing, and certification processes
- Ensure compliance with applicable industry standards and regulatory requirements
- Conduct Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ) analysis to identify cost‑saving opportunities and reduce defects
- Map and evaluate manufacturing processes to identify opportunities for automation and improvement
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and operational performance
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in quality assurance, manufacturing, or a related field
- Proficiency in quality tools and methodologies, including FMEA, 7 QC tools, 5S, 5 Why, Kaizen, Poka‑Yoke, SPC, DMAIC, and 8D root cause analysis
- Familiarity with industry standards such as UL1561, NEMA ST‑20, IEEE C57.12.01, IEEE C57.12.91, DOE 2016, UL891, and CSA C22.2
- Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies preferred
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and organizational skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross‑functional teams
- Must have authorization to work in the United States
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical Engineering, or a related field required
- At least 2 years of experience in quality assurance, manufacturing, or process improvement roles required
