Quality Technician | Richmond, VA | Pay: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour
Job SummaryThe Quality Technician is responsible for supporting the implementation and maintenance of the quality management system within a manufacturing environment. This role focuses on collecting, analyzing, and reporting quality data, ensuring compliance with established standards, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. The Quality Technician works closely with operational teams to maintain process documentation, conduct audits, and reinforce quality tools and methodologies across the organization.
Job Responsibilities- Support the implementation and maintenance of the quality management system across operational areas
- Collect, analyze, and report quality data, including Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and customer-related quality cases
- Ensure accurate and timely reporting of quality metrics to support process monitoring and decision-making
- Conduct or support audits and verify adherence to established quality standards and procedures
- Utilize measurement systems to assess material, product, and process quality characteristics
- Maintain and update process documentation in alignment with quality system requirements
- Train and support operational teams on quality tools, procedures, and methodologies
- Identify and communicate quality issues and support root cause analysis and corrective actions
- Promote continuous improvement initiatives within the production or operational environment
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a manufacturing or related environment
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow defined testing and inspection procedures
- Proactive problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and employ corrective actions
- Ability to work with quality measurement systems and interpret basic data outputs
- Familiarity with quality management systems and audit processes preferred
- SAP experience preferred
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional operational teams
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Associate degree in Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering Technology, or related field preferred
- Experience supporting quality control, inspection, or manufacturing operations
- Exposure to KPI reporting and quality documentation processes preferred
