Position: Quality Technician – Manufacturing / Electrical (2–5 Years Experience)

Adecco is currently hiring a Quality Technician for a leading manufacturing client in Richmond, VA. In this role, you will work alongside Quality Engineers, Supplier Quality Engineers, and Production teams to improve product quality, drive continuous improvement, and support a high-performing quality system.

What You’ll Do
  • Perform in-process and final inspections on units prior to shipment

  • Conduct quality audits to ensure compliance with procedures, standards, and specifications

  • Collect, track, and report Quality KPIs and metrics to support process improvement

  • Support implementation and maintenance of the Quality Management System (QMS)

  • Process and document non-conforming materials (NCRs)

  • Partner with Supplier Quality Engineers to resolve supplier-related quality issues

  • Collaborate with Production teams to correct defects and prevent recurrence

  • Communicate effectively with Engineering, Supply Chain, and Operations to resolve:

  • Drawing discrepancies

  • Bill of Materials (BOM) issues

  • Material variances

  • Create and distribute Quality Alerts for recurring or widespread issues

  • Perform incoming material inspections as needed

  • Work closely with Test teams to identify and communicate non-conformities

  • Train production and operations staff on quality standards and best practices

  • Lead or support documentation of processes and implementation of quality controls

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives (Root Cause Analysis, Lean, process improvements)

What We’re Looking For
  • 2–5 years of experience in a quality role within a manufacturing environment

  • Experience with:

  • Quality inspections (in-process and final)

  • Non-conformance handling (NCRs)

  • Quality audits and documentation

  • Electrical manufacturing or product experience preferred

  • Strong understanding of quality systems, processes, and continuous improvement

Technical Skills
  • Knowledge of:

  • Quality Management Systems (QMS)

  • Root Cause Analysis (RCA)

  • Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Ability to read and interpret:

  • Engineering drawings

  • BOMs (Bill of Materials)

  • Work instructions and specifications

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and quality reporting tools

  • Experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred) is a plus

Pay Details: $19.00 per hour
