** A Day in the Life
** As a
** Laboratory Technician I in our Richmond, VA lab**, you’ll be responsible for assisting multiple projects where you will have increasing interaction with our multi-disciplinary staff, regulatory agencies and clients. You will be part of a strong team of committed professionals.
The compensation range for this role is **$19.00 to $20.00**, commensurate with experience, skills, and geographic location.

* Schedule:

* full-time shift, Sun to Wed (initial training Mon-Fri 8hrs/day)
*** To thrive in this role, you’ll be comfortable taking ownership of the following responsibilities:  
* Receives environmental samples into the laboratory according to Onterris SOPs
* Performs data entry of sample and test information into Laboratory Information System (LIMS)
* Label sample containers, store them in appropriate locations and/or contact the proper department to inform them of short holding time and/or rush requests.
* Completes inventory and order inventory as needed.
* Occasional driving for pick ups
* Manages production of bottle preparation and shipments.
* Assists in sample bottle preparation
* Assists in sample management/archiving and disposal
* Assists in sample pickup or field sampling, if needed
* Participates in focus teams to improve efficiency
* Comply with Onterris Quality Assurance Program
* Comply with Onterris Health and Safety Plan
* Other duties as assigned

* High School Diploma or GED.  Associate’s degree or equivalent and relevant formal academic/vocational qualifications preferred.
* Some lab experience is preferred but not required.
* Must pass screen drug testing
* Proficient in computers and database software
* Knowledge of general lab practices and lab safety
* Able to multi-task and communicate effectively (both oral and written)
* Able to work independently and make sound decisions
* Well organized and have an attention to detail
* Must be able to lift sample containers, such as coolers, up to 50lbs
