** A Day in the Life
** As a
** Laboratory Technician I in our Richmond, VA lab**, you’ll be responsible for assisting multiple projects where you will have increasing interaction with our multi-disciplinary staff, regulatory agencies and clients. You will be part of a strong team of committed professionals.
The compensation range for this role is **$20.00 to $24.00**, commensurate with experience, skills, and geographic location.

* Schedule:

Overnight position Thursday - Sunday, 5pm - 3:30am shift
** To thrive in this role, you’ll be comfortable taking ownership of the following responsibilities:  
* Preparation of samples for analysis
* Preparation of reagents for lab use and/or shipment
* Sample extractions
* Determining the volume of samples
* Cleaning of laboratory glassware
* Maintaining clean laboratory areas
* Maintaining organized records of sample preparation and analysis
* Courier supplies to and/or samples from client sites
* Overhead projects designed to improve efficiency of, or accuracy of analyses
* Assisting the Group Leaders and analysts in acquiring and inventorying consumables, chemicals, and parts for instrumentation
* Dispose of laboratory waste in a safe manner following prescribed procedures
* Comply with Enthalpy’s Quality Assurance Program and other policies
* Comply with Enthalpy’s Health and Safety Plan
* Other duties as assigned by the Group Leader or Lab Director

* High School Diploma or GED.  Associate’s degree or equivalent and relevant formal academic/vocational qualifications preferred
* Some lab experience is preferred but not required as this is an entry level position
* Knowledge of general lab practices and lab safety
* Able to multi-task and communicate effectively (both oral and written)
* Able to work independently and make sound decisions
* Well organized and have an attention to detail
