Salary Range: $80,000.00 To $ Annually
POSITION OVERVIEWThe Quality Control and IMS Manager role is responsible for managing the daily activities and employees of the QC Lab as well as the overseeing the Integrated Management Systems of Richmond. Working on the continual improvement of the QC lab and its process. Manage key ISO 9001 and 14001 functions for CHT USA processes. Moderate travel may be required.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Supervision
- Manages employee time off requests, reviews;
Oversee subordinate employee expense reports;
Continually provides supervision, developing, counseling, training, assigning, and disciplining direct reports as needed or instructed. - Promote and adhere to company safety policies and procedures.
- Establish and maintain all Management Systems and ISO certifications.
- Manage corrective action process and ensure sound root cause analysis.
- Point of contact for all customer and registrar audits.
- Work cross departmentally to ensure continual improvement of business.
- Plan, assign and direct work of QC Lab Technicians to meet product shipment and manufacturing needs.
- Test and adjust products to meet manufacturing needs, including data entry.
- Ensure established quality metrics and initiatives are achieved.
- Implement long-term quality improvements.
- Conduct product research as deemed appropriate or as requested.
- Conduct Measurement Systems Analysis (MSA/Gage R&R) of current and future quality critical equipment and make improvements where needed.
- Utilize Statistical Process Control (SPC) to interpret data and improve products, processes and testing.
- Evaluate CoAs of incoming raw materials for potential effects on CHT product quality.
- Ensure that the QC Lab Technicians are disposing of waste properly.
- Interview, hire, train and appraise QC Lab Technicians.
- Participate in continued education as related to Quality.
- Report monthly on the status of Quality metrics and initiatives.
- Perform all other duties, as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
- 4 years of relevant supervisory and quality management related experience (preferred)
- ERP experience (preferred)
- ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015 Internal Auditor
- Strong ability to work independently and manage daily tasks effectively
- Advanced user level understanding of Microsoft Office 365 & Suites:
Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook - Familiarity with an ERP solution (i.e. SAP, Sage, Microsoft Dynamics ERP, etc.)
- Creative problem-solving skills for addressing complex challenges
- Ability to collaborate effectively with team members from diverse disciplines and communication styles
- Strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
- Capacity to manage various situations, often concurrently
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple tasks at once
