Environmental Health Student Research Assistant
The Environmental Health Science program has received a research award to investigate the presence of Legionella in windshield wiper fluid and evaluate microbial air sampling methods for environmental exposure assessment. One student will be hired to assist with collection of air, water, and vehicle fluid samples in field settings, perform laboratory procedures, and document methods and results. The student will follow approved protocols related to sampling, microbial culturing, isolation, and identification using selective media and advanced instrumentation for microbial analysis.
