Job Overview
The North America OTC team supports the development of new OTC drug products for North American Consumer Healthcare brands. This role focuses on analytical development, providing support for new product development through the validation and transfer of robust analytical methods that enable product growth.
Role Responsibilities- Has a working knowledge of basic chemistry and laboratory techniques.
- Has demonstrated critical thinking and problem‑solving skills.
- Applies technical skills and functional knowledge to projects or assignments.
- Has a working knowledge of GMP requirements and site policies & procedures.
- Executes established analytical procedures, methodologies and method validation/transfer protocols with supervision from a senior colleague.
- Performs analytical testing (chemical and physical) in support of the development of new OTC products.
- Follows CHR&D documentation policies and practices when recording and documenting scientific work.
- Recognizes atypical data including chromatography and intermediate results and works with a senior colleague to investigate and determine root cause.
- Performs troubleshooting of basic instrumentation issues.
- Performs peer reviews of scientific data and reports, working with colleague to resolve any identified issues in a timely manner.
- Adept and flexible at working in a dynamic lab environment on multiple projects.
- BS in Chemistry or related science.
- BS Degree with 1+ years of experience.
- A passion for science is essential given the critical importance of technical expertise.
- Industry laboratory experience.
- Experience with HPLC, GC and dissolution.
Location:
Richmond, VA; onsite lab-based role, 5 days a week.
