The postdoctoral research fellow will be involved and conduct research to design and synthesize small molecule compounds as potential probes and therapeutics for neurodegenerative disorders.
Minimum Qualifications- Successful candidate must hold a PhD in organic synthesis, or synthetic medicinal chemistry or a related area.
- The candidate must have the ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative research group.
- Demonstrated experience working in and fostering an environment of respect, professionalism and civility with a population of faculty, staff, and students from various backgrounds and experiences, or a commitment to do so as a faculty member at VCU.
Strong experience in synthetic medicinal chemistry and cell biology.
Salary Range$59,000
