Role Overview
As a Customer Service Associate at Lowe’s you will greet customers, help them locate and select products, answer questions, and provide friendly and professional service throughout the day. You will also perform light merchandising duties such as restocking, loading merchandise, and preparing items for sale.
Key Responsibilities- Welcome customers to Lowe’s, answer questions, and deliver friendly and professional customer service.
- Assist customers with locating and handling merchandise.
- Down stock merchandise by looking for empty areas on shelves and replenishing supplies.
- Process orders and deliveries accurately so customers receive merchandise as expected and on time.
- Cross‑functionally train in other store areas to help deliver the best customer service.
- Prepare merchandise in your department based on customer needs (e.g., tint and mix paint, cut and thread pipe, cut and bundle wood, cut drywall, cut blinds).
- Guide customers through shopping or checkout.
- Complete other duties as assigned.
- At least 6 months of experience using a computer, including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information.
- At least 6 months of experience using common retail technology such as smartphones and tablets.
- Reading, writing, and performing basic arithmetic (addition and subtraction).
- Able to perform duties that may require prolonged standing, sitting, and other activities necessary to perform job duties.
- Minimally lift 25 lbs unassisted or over 25 lbs with or without an accommodation.
- 6 months of retail and/or customer service experience.
- Bi‑lingual skills.
- Certification in a trade related to a department (e.g., hardware, kitchen, plumbing, electrical, lawn and garden, lumber/building materials).
- Competitive pay with a pay range of $15.00 - $16.20 per hour. Starting rate may vary by location, education, training, and experience.

Travel RequirementsThis role does not require regular travel; however, it may need occasional travel to meetings, training, or to support neighboring stores.
Working ConditionsEnvironmental factors vary by location. You may work in both indoor and outdoor weather conditions, with exposure to extreme heat or cold, wet, damp, humid, windy, or drafty conditions.
Exposure to constant or intermittent noise, moving or shaking objects, and equipment is possible.
Lifting methods vary based on role, weight, and volume: associates must follow guidelines limiting single lifts to 75 pounds. Team lifts are used minimally starting at 75 pounds or when needed. Powered equipment should be used as required, with proper training or assistance from a trained coworker.
