Job OverviewThis Retail Sales Associate position is located at the Richmond International Airport. The role supports customer service, stock duties, pricing, and cash handling while working a full-time schedule and providing flexibility to work any shift, any day of the week, including weekends and holidays.
Responsibilities- Acknowledge and greet customers
- Communicate effectively with customers, fellow employees and store management
- Know basic store layout to assist customers in product selection and answer questions about the store
- Operate a cash register following company policies and cash handling procedures
- Communicate pricing, out-of-date and inventory issues with management
- Protect all company assets and stock merchandise in stores and backrooms
- Isolate, sort, and organize damaged and outdated products and returns; inform management of out-of-stock situations
- Help maintain a neat, clean, organized store (sweeping, dusting, straightening merchandise, trash removal)
- Place stock orders, receive freight, load and unload trucks
- Provide ongoing stock replenishment to the sales floor
- Assist in inventory and reconciliation of inventory variances
- Perform related work as assigned
- Required Qualifications:
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with diverse personalities
- Ability to multi-task
- Be able to lift 40-60 pounds
- Ability to work in environment exposed to the elements, both hot and cold
- Good time-management skills and problem-solving abilities
