The Retail Associate assists the store management team in reaching operational goals of the site by functioning in various capacities within the retail location. Possible roles include Cashier, Textiles or Wares Producer, Donation Door Attendant, eCommerce Producer, e-Books Producer, and Rack or Cart Runner.
Responsibilities- Cashier: Rings up customer orders, maintains a balanced drawer, follows all cash handling procedures, provides general information about Goodwill programs, directs higher-level questions, and maintains cleanliness of the sales floor.
- Textiles or Wares Producer: Sorts product to identify quality and value, tags and hangs textiles or wares, targets production of 100 items/hour for wares / 85 items/hour for textiles while adhering to pricing standards, updates a daily production tracking sheet, and uses pallet jack and conveyor belt as required.
- Donation Door Attendant: Accepts donations, maintains a clean donation door and efficient backroom, sorts and distributes products, and operates heavy equipment such as pallet jack, double stacker, floor scrubber, and hydraulic lift.
- eCommerce Producer: Identifies and secures items for Click Goodwill, monitors market value via eBay and other sites, tags and itemizes items, packs curated products onto pallets, wraps and ships totes, and educates the team on high‑ticket items.
- e-Books Producer: Scans books, decides on Click Goodwill or in‑store display, prints inventory sheets, packs, seals, and ships totes for Click Goodwill, and manages a clean, organized sales display.
- Rack and Cart Runner: Checks racks/carts for quality, properly sizes and merchandises items, purges the sales floor, puts away carts, stocks shelves, runs one textile rack/wares cart every 15 minutes, and updates the daily production tracking sheet.
- No degree or credential requirement; prioritizes capability and prior experience.
