The Role at a GlanceThis hands‑on role assists truck drivers with loading, unloading, packing, and moving furniture safely and efficiently. It requires pushing, lifting, and carrying office or residential furniture, and is a very physical position requiring stamina, attention to detail, and a strong team-oriented mindset.
ResponsibilitiesThis role requires safely handling, packing, and unpacking furniture and cartons, carrying them in and out of offices or residences, and being able to lift 50–100 lbs. (up to 400 lbs. with a team) and push 50–100 lbs. on 4‑wheel dollies and 300‑lb. loaded carts. You must navigate stairs, tight spaces, and work on your feet for 6–10 hours daily.
Additional responsibilities include wrapping and padding furniture, helping with paperwork, and ensuring all items are handled with care to avoid damage.
You are expected to adapt to varying job conditions, including weather and temperatures, and to contribute to a positive and professional work environment with training provided.
Qualifications and SkillsEducation/Work Experience/Certificates:
- No school/work experience required—just a willingness to learn and work hard.
- Must complete UVL Packer and Mover Certification training, which will be provided upon hire.
