Position SummaryThe Merchandising Team Lead (MTL) leads a team of 3–4 Merchandising Specialists through convenience store resets at the chain and individual store level. The MTL works closely with Regional Sales Managers and Territory Managers in the assigned geographic location to create and implement a schedule to complete the required workload.
Responsibilities- Team scheduling and communicating that schedule to all partners involved.
- Ordering tags and supplies for the team as needed.
- Working with the POG Manager to ensure proper POGs are available for resets.
- Completing store reset pre‑work in partnership with DRS, RSM/TM, and customer.
- Working hands‑on with the team to complete resets in stores and ensuring all work is being executed properly, including POG sets, product return sorting, etc.
- Leadership and development of the team through continuous feedback, annual reviews, and other performance‑management tasks.
- Oversight of hiring and onboarding new team members in partnership with the Director of Retail Services and Talent Manager.
- Managing team expense reports and PTO and providing approvals on a weekly basis.
- Creating a team culture that promotes the M.R. Williams values and centers on collaboration, respect, and self‑less service.
- Attend trainings, conferences, and other meetings as needed.
- Other duties as assigned by Leadership.
- 1–2 years of previous management/supervisory experience preferred.
- Clean driving record required.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs.
- This position includes frequent overnight travel.
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds.
- Must be able to push up to 25 pounds.
- Must be able to pull up to 35 pounds.
- Sitting for long periods, general bending and twisting are associated with lifting.
- Travel up to 75% of the time.
