Job Overview

The Licensed Optician delivers exceptional customer service and expertly fits eyewear to meet the needs of Lens Crafters customers.

• Welcome all customers and set expectations.
• Custom fit glasses and precisely place prescriptions in lenses.
• Lead by demonstrating optical acumen.
• Take and record measurements, adjust and fit eyewear with attention to detail.
• Assist the team with complex product needs and prescriptions.
• Use technology accurately and efficiently under time pressure.
• Proactively identify root causes of issues and drive solutions.
• Multi‑task, prioritize and manage time with competing priorities.
• Strive to achieve exceptional results on brand KPIs and competencies.
• Maintain store appearance and cleanliness.
• Report safety opportunities and demonstrate safe work practices.
• Demonstrate resourcefulness, self‑motivation, and a desire for continual learning.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures, including discounts, promotions and inventory management.

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• State licensure.
• Experience dispensing optical products.
• Strong customer service skills: communicator, listener and team builder.
• Knowledge of current store merchandise.
• Strong basic math skills.
• Awareness of current fashion trends.
• Screening and selling skills, including use of an iPad/tablet.
• Familiarity with POS systems, computers and calculators.
• Open to new technology and change.

• Previous customer service and retail experience.

$24.15 – $34.14 per hour (varies by location and experience).
