Job Overview
The Licensed Optician delivers exceptional customer service and expertly fits eyewear to meet the needs of Lens Crafters customers.
Responsibilities- Welcome all customers and set expectations.
- Custom fit glasses and precisely place prescriptions in lenses.
- Lead by demonstrating optical acumen.
- Take and record measurements, adjust and fit eyewear with attention to detail.
- Assist the team with complex product needs and prescriptions.
- Use technology accurately and efficiently under time pressure.
- Proactively identify root causes of issues and drive solutions.
- Multi‑task, prioritize and manage time with competing priorities.
- Strive to achieve exceptional results on brand KPIs and competencies.
- Maintain store appearance and cleanliness.
- Report safety opportunities and demonstrate safe work practices.
- Demonstrate resourcefulness, self‑motivation, and a desire for continual learning.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures, including discounts, promotions and inventory management.
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- State licensure.
- Experience dispensing optical products.
- Strong customer service skills: communicator, listener and team builder.
- Knowledge of current store merchandise.
- Strong basic math skills.
- Awareness of current fashion trends.
- Screening and selling skills, including use of an iPad/tablet.
- Familiarity with POS systems, computers and calculators.
- Open to new technology and change.
- Previous customer service and retail experience.
$24.15 – $34.14 per hour (varies by location and experience).
