The Ukrop's Market Hall is a retail space for gathering, nourishing and sharing. Ukrop’s Market Hall offers the “best-of” Ukrop’s foods and legendary customer service in a friendly, neighborhood atmosphere. Dine-in or carry-out your favorites—fried chicken, potato wedges, Slidinis®, pizzas, and a full selection of chilled prepared entrees, sides, deli salads, and fresh baked goods.

the Market Hall, located at 7250 Patterson Avenue, Richmond, Virginia 23229 is seeking to hire multiple full-time and part-time Market Specialists. The Market Hall hours are 7:00 am - 7:00 pm, Tuesday through Saturday. The positions and shifts vary, with occasional overtime during holiday peaks.

Successful candidates must be passionate about food and eager to continue the Ukrop's tradition of delivering outstanding customer service and quality food products. Position opportunities at the Market Hall include:

• Kitchen Associate (food service, dishwasher)(FT/PT)
• Cashier/Customer Service(FT/PT)
• Bakery Associate(FT/PT)
• Utility Clerk(FT/PT)
• Fry Cook(FT/PT)

• Full-time associates are required to have flexibility to work morning, evening, and weekend schedules.
• Due to job tasks required, some positions may be limited to 18 years of age and older.
• Frequent contact with the public, standing and walking on hard surfaces, bending, stooping, and lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling during most of the shift.
• Additional eligibility requirements must be satisfied during selection process.

• The position responsibilities frequently require:
  • Reading, comprehending, and following verbal and written instructions
  • Performing basic arithmetic to execute duties described above (measuring, follow recipes)
• The physical demands of the position frequently include:
  • Standing and/or walking for a minimum of two to four hours
  • Repetitive bending, reaching, stooping, pushing, pulling, and lifting product weighing up to 50 lbs (depending on position).
  • Frequent use of hands (serving food, cash register, packaging and assembling product)
  • Exposure to variations in temperature caused by customer curbside pick, refrigeration or cooking equipment.

• High School Diploma or GED preferred, not required
• 1-2 years previous retail and/or food service experience preferred, not required
