As a Deli Employee at GFG, you will be an essential part of our team,
ensuring the operation of our deli department runs smoothly. Your
responsibilities will include maintaining the kitchen and hot bar, dishwashing,
assisting at the front counter, handling bakery duties, and managing the
juice bar. You are responsible for customers having a positive shopping
experience by delivering excellent customer service, maintaining a clean and
organized deli cafe and store area and efficiently handling transactions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure cleanliness and organization in the kitchen area.
• Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Assist in food preparation, cooking, and assembly.

• Maintain and replenish the hot bar with fresh and appealing food
  items.
• Ensure that food is presented attractively and follows quality
  standards.
• Monitor and rotate food items to maintain freshness.

• Operate the dishwasher and maintain a clean and organized
  dishwashing area.
• Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment promptly.
• Ensure that all kitchen tools are sanitized and ready for use.

• Assist customers at the deli counter, providing information about
  products and taking orders.
• Weigh, package, and label deli items for customers.
• Maintain a friendly and helpful attitude with customers.
• Greet customers in a friendly and approachable manner.
• Assist customers in locating products and answering questions
  about merchandise.
• Handle customer inquiries and resolve complaints professionally.

• Assist with baking tasks, including preparing and baking bread,
  pastries, and other baked goods.
• Ensure that baked goods are displayed attractively and are
  appropriately stocked.

• Prepare fresh juices and smoothies according to recipes and
  customer preferences.
• Maintain cleanliness and order at the juice bar.
• Provide information to customers about the benefits of different
  juices and smoothies.

• Keep the store environment clean and organized by performing
  regular cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, and
  organizing shelves.
• Ensure that the aisles are free of hazards and that all products
  are neatly arranged.

• Work as part of a team to ensure the store operates smoothly
  and meets daily operational goals.
• Assist fellow employees with tasks and support management as
  needed.

• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Moderate lifting or moving up to 50 pounds.
• Manual dexterity to handle kitchen tools and equipment.
