Role Description The Seasonal Sales Associate is a full-time, on-site role based in Richmond, VA. This position focuses on engaging customers, understanding their needs, and recommending jewelry products that fit their occasions and budgets. Day-to-day responsibilities include providing attentive customer service, learning product features, assisting with merchandise displays, and supporting store promotions. The role also involves handling basic cash register operations, processing transactions accurately, and maintaining a clean, organized sales floor.

Seasonal Sales Associates work collaboratively with the store team to meet sales goals, deliver a welcoming in-store experience, and uphold Helzberg’s standards of care and quality.

• Customer service and sales skills, with the ability to build rapport, listen actively, and provide tailored product recommendations.
• Communication and interpersonal skills, including clear verbal communication, professional demeanor, and comfort interacting with diverse customers.
• Basic retail operations skills, such as handling POS systems, processing payments accurately, and following store policies and procedures.
• Organization and attention to detail for maintaining merchandise displays, monitoring inventory levels, and supporting store presentation standards.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, move products as needed, and work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Reliability and teamwork, with a collaborative approach to supporting colleagues and contributing to shared sales goals.
• Previous retail or customer-facing experience is helpful but not required; willingness to learn about jewelry and Helzberg products is essential.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
