Floral Assistant

Blooms at The Jefferson Hotel is seeking a creative, dependable, and service-oriented Seasonal Floral Assistant to support the daily operations of the floral department. This role assists with floral arrangements, preparation, organization, and general department needs while helping maintain the quality and presentation standards of Blooms at The Jefferson Hotel.

Seasonal availability and flexibility are required, including the ability to work weekends and holidays as business needs require. Flexibility to support changing priorities and increased seasonal demand is also expected.

Key Requirements Availability:
Must be available any day of the week between 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with additional availability on weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities Assist with preparing and arranging flowers and floral products

Process, clean, and organize fresh flowers and floral supplies

Assist with the preparation of floral arrangements, displays, and special orders

Maintain cleanliness and organization of the floral work area Receive, organize, and properly store floral products and supplies

Assist with inventory organization and restocking as needed

Support the timely preparation and delivery of floral arrangements throughout the hotel

Assist with special events, seasonal displays, and other floral projects

Provide friendly and professional service to guests and clients when needed

Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety standards

Collaborate with the floral team to ensure smooth daily operations

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Previous floral, retail, hospitality, or customer service experience is a plus Interest in floral design, flowers, and creative work Ability to learn basic floral preparation and arrangement techniques

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment

No prior professional floral experience required
