Job Title:
Account Executive – Wound Care & Negative Pressure Therapy Sales
At Rotech Healthcare Inc., we are a national leader in home medical equipment and therapies, expanding our footprint and seeking driven Account Executives with a background in wound care or NPWT. In this role you will build strong relationships with physicians, wound clinics, hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, and home health agencies to deliver life‑changing solutions that support healing and recovery in the home setting.
EssentialJob Duties & Responsibilities
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless patient onboarding and satisfaction.
- Conduct face‑to‑face sales calls with healthcare providers and referral sources.
- Educate clients on product benefits, patient outcomes, and service capabilities.
- Meet and exceed monthly sales quotas through strategic territory management.
- Promote Rotech's wound care and NPWT solutions, as well as respiratory equipment and services.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Uncapped commission – high earnings potential based entirely on performance.
- Quarterly bonuses – rewarded for exceeding goals.
- Competitive base salary – $50k/year (entry level) to $62k/year (experienced), with uncapped commission.
- Mileage reimbursement for rural travel.
- Company‑provided cell phone.
Employment Screening Requirements
- Background check (company‑wide). Results will not be automatically used to disqualify individuals; individualized assessment will be conducted in accordance with applicable laws.

- Compliance with healthcare facility credentialing process (when applicable for the position).
- Valid driver's license in state of residence with a clean driving record (when applicable).
Required Education and/or Experience
- High school diploma or GED equivalent, required.
Preferred Education and/or Experience
- Four‑year college degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience in respiratory or medical sales is preferred.
- Leadership experience in other areas or fields.
- Proven sales performer – 2+ years in B2B or healthcare sales preferred; new college graduates are welcome to apply.
- Independent & resourceful – you thrive on autonomy and accountability.
- Excellent communicator – ability to simplify complex topics and build trust.
- Willingness to travel – position requires in-person visits throughout assigned rural territory.
- CRM experience – familiarity with sales platforms is a plus.
Skills and Competencies
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams and external healthcare partners across a defined territory.
- Communicate clearly and professionally in English – both written and verbal – with physicians, patients, and colleagues.
- Demonstrate a helpful, knowledgeable, and positive attitude.
- Interpret and respond to a variety of communication formats and instructions.
- Apply knowledge of DME or HME.
- Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Utilize medical terminology effectively.
- Manage multiple tasks with strong attention to detail.
- Stay organized, self‑motivated, and solution‑oriented.
- Work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
Machines, Equipment and Technical Abilities
- Email transmission and communication.
- Internet navigation and research.
- Microsoft applications – Outlook, Word and Excel.
- Office equipment – fax machine, copier, printer, phone and computer and/or tablet.
Physical Demands
- Ability to drive and travel regularly via personal vehicle (mileage reimbursement provided); occasional air travel may be required.
- Lift and carry office equipment at times.
- Requires sitting, walking, standing, talking and listening.
- Requires close vision to small print on computer and/or tablet and paperwork.
