Bring your skills to the 2025 Kenworth Dealer of the Year! Kenworth Sales Company, a 38‑location Kenworth Sales, is looking for a Parts Counter Sales Representative to join our Richmond, VA team.
Job SummaryHandle internal and external customer requests for parts purchases, both in person and on the telephone.

Duties and Responsibilities- Wait on customers or mechanics at parts counter or on the phone.
- Research customers’ requests and needs where necessary and determine correct part(s) needed.
- When part(s) is in stock, produce invoice from the computer system; if not in stock and customer wants to order, create purchase order and process orders.
- Check in orders and receive purchase orders in the business system.
- Assist with inventory and core returns to vendors, including pulling, packing, and shipping.
- Restock shelves and maintain parts bins, i.e., rearrange parts, clean, label, etc.
- Deliver parts to customers as needed.
- Assist with annual parts inventory physical count, including actual physical counting of parts, tallying of counts, etc.
- Assist Parts Manager with miscellaneous tasks.
- Complete all required job‑related training.
- 1–2 years heavy‑duty truck parts experience.
- Mechanical aptitude desirable.
- Understanding of office procedures, including filing, correspondence, and basic accounting.
- Knowledge of bills of lading, freight bills, heavy and medium‑duty diesel truck parts.
- Excellent organization and communication skills.
- A valid driver’s license and good driving record.
- Professional personal appearance.
- Computer terminal data input and 10‑key calculator and minimal computer aptitude desirable.
- Ability to read, write, and comprehend English instructions and information.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- This position involves both sedentary and physical work.
- For part of the shift, employee will work at a desk in a warehouse setting doing paperwork, telephoning, and filing.
- For part of the shift, employee will stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, and reach, moving about the dealership facility to communicate with managers, employees, and customers.
- Lifting of at least 50 lbs. without assistance on a daily basis, as well as heavier loads with forklifts and/or additional assistance, will be required.
- Will be exposed to noise, dust, exhaust fumes, and a variety of other hazardous and nonhazardous materials.
