Employee Benefits Account Manager (EBAM)

Seeking a highly skilled and experienced Employee Benefits Account Manager (EBAM) to join a team. This role is integral to an organization, which has been recognized as one of the top 30 agencies in the country by Reagan & Associates. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing client accounts, a deep understanding of employee benefits, and a passion for providing exceptional service.

Compensation Package
  • Salary Range: $70,000 - $90,000 annually (commensurate with experience). Candidates with salaries under $100,000 will be considered.
  • Bonus: 4-8% yearly performance‑based bonus.
  • Benefits:
    Comprehensive medical coverage (100% employer‑paid).
  • Work Arrangement:
    Hybrid model – 3 days in‑office, 2 days remote (non‑negotiable).
Responsibilities
  • Manage a portfolio of client accounts, ranging from 150 to 500 lives, with some smaller and larger groups.
  • Provide expert guidance on all lines of coverage, including self‑funded accounts.
  • Assist clients during enrollment periods by explaining benefits and addressing inquiries.
  • Ensure seamless service delivery and maintain high levels of client satisfaction.
  • Support producers in quoting new and renewal business, with a primary focus on servicing renewals.
  • Maintain compliance with industry regulations and best practices.
  • Utilize Applied Epic software for account management and documentation.
Qualifications / Requirements
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in an agency benefits account management role.
  • Strong knowledge of self‑funded accounts and generalist experience across all lines of coverage and industries.
  • Licensure in Life & Health (L&H) is required.
  • Experience with compliance is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with Applied Epic software is preferred.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and a client‑focused mindset.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build and maintain client relationships.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team‑oriented environment.
