Position: Medical Account Specialists  - Hematology - Richmond, VA

Geography: Richmond, VA, Norfolk, VA, Virginia Beach, VA, Charleston, WV, Morgantown, WV

The Hematology Oncology Account Specialist is responsible for engaging hematologists and other key oncology customers within the assigned geographic universe, including academic centers, large group practices, IDNs, and community accounts, to support the launch of our Multiple Myeloma product. The role focuses on delivering clinically focused selling messages to build revenue and consistently meet product goals. Success requires initiative, drive, and independence, with a strong emphasis on compliance, integrity, and adherence to Regeneron policies and U.S. pharmaceutical promotion regulations.

Typical Day May Include The Following
  • Engage hematology experts and other key oncology customers within the assigned territory, presenting clinically focused messages for the launch of bispecific agents to treat multiple myeloma.
  • Facilitate partnerships with regional director, territory-based oncology account specialists, and reimbursement specialists to resolve customer needs, identify market dynamics, and develop strategies supporting brand and corporate objectives.
  • Develop strong working relationships with designated accounts and specialists.
  • Execute market profiling to gain a deep understanding of regional health care delivery, influencers, and payer systems.
  • Proactively identify business opportunities within assigned accounts and coordinate effort with the Regeneron oncology account team, supporting contracting pull-through.
  • Build breadth of relationships within each account to understand objectives, goals, and challenges, and connect customers with approved Regeneron oncology resources.
  • Demonstrate dedication to compliance by understanding regulations and policies governing customer interactions and ensuring consistent adherence.

  • You have achieved consistent sales performance in complex markets with diverse customer segments, operating with integrity within compliance guidelines.
  • You are results-oriented with a track record of success in product launches.
  • You are a strong account manager with analytical, problem‑solving, and planning skills.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree;
    Master’s degree or advanced education/certifications is a plus.
  • Minimum 5 years of successful experience in oncology sales; hematology/oncology experience preferred.
  • Buy and bill experience with biologics required.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience working with key thought leaders or high‑influence customers in group practices, academic hospitals, or key institutions.
  • Current account management experience calling on large oncology group practices and/or integrated delivery networks.
  • Strong understanding of the hematology oncology therapeutic area and the current oncology marketplace.
  • Ability to travel and cover large geographic territories.
