Job Description
Responsible for identifying, developing and maintaining national accounts within designated area(s) of responsibility (e.g., retail, multi‑concepts). Coordinate overall company efforts to ensure continuous high service levels by efficiently and profitably managing, serving, and growing specified business areas. Accountable for segment/customer profitability. Interfaces with all levels of customers, branch associates, corporate support services, and suppliers. Functions as a team member within the department and organization, as required, and performs any duty assigned to best serve the company.
Responsibilities- Identifies new customers to determine compatibility to distribution services by analyzing product requirements, unit location, sales volume, product usage, and customer history. Negotiates distribution agreement/price/margin/service components.
- Maintains current account base and maximizes profitability through price/margin management and penetrating accounts with additional SKUs.
- Coordinates customer service activities and initial set‑up of accounts by communicating with distribution centers, corporate teams, customer service, purchasing, credit, and other appropriate corporate departments.
- Oversees inventory obsolescence via stocking agreements and proactive resolution of inventory overstocks; accountable for equipment program.
- Establishes marketing and customer accruals.
- High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent Experience.
- 2-4 years of sales/marketing experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Sales, Marketing, Business or a related area.
- 4-6 years of sales/marketing experience within the food service industry at a national or regional scope.
- Previous work experience as a Sales Support Specialist or Sales Support Associate.
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Previous customer service experience with an understanding of sales principles.
