Vice President of Sales

Our client is seeking a Vice President of Sales to lead and scale its multi-channel wholesale business. This executive leadership role is ideal for a proven commercial leader who enjoys building high-performing teams, strengthening customer partnerships, and identifying new opportunities for profitable growth.

The company is an established consumer lifestyle brand with a strong presence across national retailers, specialty retailers, independent retailers, ecommerce, and corporate gifting. As the business continues to expand, this leader will play a key role in shaping commercial strategy, developing the sales organization, and driving sustainable growth.

Reporting directly to executive leadership, the Vice President of Sales will partner across Product Development, Marketing, Finance, Operations, and Customer Service to execute growth strategies that position the business for its next phase of expansion.

This role is based in Richmond, VA and is on site.

• Develop and execute the company's wholesale sales strategy across national accounts, specialty retailers, independent retailers, ecommerce, and emerging channels.
• Strengthen existing customer relationships while identifying new markets, strategic accounts, and revenue opportunities.
• Help shape the company's long-term commercial strategy by identifying scalable growth opportunities, optimizing sales performance, and building the organization for continued expansion.
• Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing sales organization focused on accountability, collaboration, and execution.
• Establish scalable sales processes, forecasting disciplines, KPIs, and operating rhythms that support profitable growth.
• Partner with Product Development, Marketing, Finance, Operations, and Customer Service to deliver an exceptional customer experience.
• Leverage customer insights, sales analytics, and market trends to influence commercial strategy and future product direction.
• Manage sales forecasting, customer profitability, pricing strategies, and overall commercial performance.
• Represent the company with key customers and industry events while serving as a trusted member of the executive leadership team.

• 10+ years of progressive sales leadership experience, including leading multi-channel wholesale sales organizations.
• Proven success driving profitable revenue growth within consumer products, gift, home, lifestyle, housewares, apparel, furnishings, or similar industries.
• Experience managing national retail accounts while expanding specialty and independent retail channels.
• Strong financial and commercial acumen, including forecasting, pricing strategy, customer profitability, margin management, and sales analytics.
• Demonstrated success building, coaching, and developing high-performing sales teams.
• Experience partnering cross-functionally with Product Development, Marketing, Finance, Operations, and Customer Service to execute business growth strategies.
• Strong executive presence with the ability to influence customers, internal stakeholders, and senior leadership.
• Proficiency with CRM, ERP, and business intelligence platforms to support data-driven decision making.
