89-Paint is excited to announce an opportunity for a dynamic individual to join our team as a Sales Manager.

This vital role is designed for a dedicated professional ready to take charge of our sales operations. We are looking for an exceptional leader whose expertise will propel our business goals to new heights. This is a Full-Time position that requires the successful candidate to work onsite, embracing the vibrant, collaborative environment that 89-Paint prides itself on.89-Paint is a locally and family owned business that has be serving greater Richmond for 20 years.

The Sales Manager will play a crucial role in steering the strategic direction of the sales department, influencing both the immediate team and broader company goals. Ideal candidates will possess a robust background in sales leadership in the painting or construction industry, demonstrating a proven track record of driving growth and improving sales metrics.

Compensation will be based on experience level.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve and exceed sales targets.
  • Lead and manage the sales team by providing guidance, training, and mentorship, setting performance standards, and conducting performance evaluations.
  • Identify emerging markets and market shifts while being fully aware of competition status and new industry trends.
  • Collaborate with the marketing department to understand and support marketing activities and campaigns, ensuring alignment with sales objectives.
  • Establish and nurture long-term relationships with key clients and stakeholders while developing new business partnerships to expand the company’s footprint.
  • Conduct detailed analysis of sales performance metrics to inform decision-making and strategic planning.
  • Manage and oversee the daily operations of the sales team ensuring it is aligned with the departmental and company’s strategic goals.
  • Prepare regular reports for upper management to present sales progress and areas of opportunity for further growth and development.
  • Participate in industry conferences, workshops, and other relevant events to enhance professional growth and stay current with market trends.
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, and business ethics codes.
  • Drive the team and self towards the continuous improvement of customer service standards and client satisfaction.
  • Individual sales performance may be required dependent on experience level.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 3 years proven sales management experience in the painting or construction industry.
  • Proven record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and driving growth in a sales environment.
  • Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
  • Strong understanding of CRM and Google Suite/MS Office software.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to develop strategic plans, budgets, and sales forecasts that align with company goals.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the capability to operate under pressure.

    Demonstrable ability to build relationships with key stakeholders and maintain successful business partnerships.
  • Must be available to travel as required to meet with clients, attend trade shows, and lead field sales initiatives.

Compensation

This will be a full-time, salaried position with the opportunity for bonuses. Compensation will be determined on a case by case basis based on experience.
