Enthalpy Analytical, is part of the larger organization, Montrose Environmental Group, is comprised of laboratories servicing air, water, and soil testing. Regulations drive the need for our services, but our unique capabilities allow us to add value to clients by providing custom solutions to their unique product or critical regulatory assessments.
Currently seeking a Full-Time Group Leader (Environmental Laboratory - Chemistry).
As a key member of the laboratory team, Group Leaders equip and maintain a well-trained and informed staff to meet the expectations of our clients by efficiently and profitably generating defensible data on time. Our Group Leaders will be an analyst who is responsible for most aspects of an operating team within the lab. Additional duties are:
- Analyze air derived and various client-provided sample matrices for elemental metals using ICPMS, OES and CVAA
- Personnel supervision, time management, and operational efficiency
- Conflict resolution and personnel skills development, team building and conflict resolution
- Accurate and timely communication with internal and external clients
- Project scheduling, focus on rush sample digestion and analysis
- Perform instrument maintenance and repair
- Troubleshooting and problem solving
- Prepare calibration standards & calibrate instruments
- Maintain inventory of standards & supplies; order replacements as needed
- Accurate and timely communication with internal and external clients
- Development of analytical methods
- Write and assist with updating related SOPs
- Overhead projects designed to improve efficiency of, or accuracy of analyses
- Peer review other analysts’ data packages, data entry, sequences, bench books, etc.
- Comply with Enthalpy’s Quality Assurance Program and other policies
- Ensure staff comply with Enthalpy’s Health and Safety Plan, in particular a willingness to work with concentrated acids as well as instructing staff on proper handling and safety procedures for those acids.
