** What You'll Do:*
* + Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
+ Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
+ Conduct regular and random armed patrols of government facilities, administrative areas, grounds, parking areas and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
+ Control access at designated entrances and posts by verifying identification, issuing visitor credentials and directing guests and deliveries according to site procedures.
+ Monitor alarms, surveillance systems and radio traffic, and communicate observations and incidents to the appropriate personnel and/or dispatch.
+ Perform armed post duties in accordance with applicable laws, licensing requirements and site directives, maintaining proper weapon retention and handling at all times.
+ Complete detailed reports and logs of patrol activity, incidents, maintenance issues and policy violations, and submit documentation per site requirements.
+ Provide assistance during emergencies such as fire alarms, medical incidents, severe weather and building evacuations, including guiding occupants to designated assembly areas.
+ Conduct checks of doors, gates and restricted areas, reporting unsecured conditions and/or suspicious activity to site leadership and Allied Universal management.
+ Support government staff and visitors with directions and general information while maintaining awareness of security-related conditions.
+ Coordinate with local law enforcement and/or emergency services when requested, preserving the scene and providing statements consistent with training and policy.
+ Participate in required training, briefings and inspections, and follow post orders, chain of command and professional appearance standards.

* Minimum Requirements:

* + - A valid driver's license is required in the state where the job is located.
+ - A minimum of 1 year of security experience is required.
+ - An armed guard card/license is required.
+ - Client requires proof of HS Diploma/GED.
+ - Be 21+ years of age.
+ - Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
+ - Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
+ - As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
+ - Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
+ - As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
+ - Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
+ - Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
+ - A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
