Security Officer - City Hall Rover in Richmond, VA is a role that serves and safeguards clients across industries, including Government. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government transportation location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain high visibility to deter incidents, monitor assigned areas, support access control and badging processes as needed, and assist visitors and staff with clear communication and professional customer service.

- Provide customer service to visitors and employees by carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a government transportation location.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including reporting hazards, suspicious activity, and access concerns per post orders.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, parking areas, and perimeter routes to deter unauthorized activity and policy violations.
- Control access by monitoring entry and exit points, verifying credentials as required, and directing visitors to appropriate check-in processes.
- Complete required documentation such as patrol logs, incident reports, and shift activity reports, and communicate relevant updates to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- CPR certification is preferred.
- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Background investigation will be conducted as required by federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- Drug screen is required where permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state/local laws and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.
