Job DutiesAbout the Agency:
The Virginia Department of Military Affairs State Team provides professional and responsive state support functions to the Adjutant General of Virginia, the Virginia National Guard, the Virginia Air Guard, and the Virginia Defense Force in order to ensure their ability to support and defend the United States and the Commonwealth of Virginia.
Purpose of Position:
The primary purpose of the position is to install and maintain Electronic Intrusion Detection Systems (EIDS), Electronic Video Management Systems (EVMS), Internet Protocol Cameras (EIPC) Systems and Electronic Physical Access Control Systems (EPACS) to include Secure and Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities (SCIF) for identified locations. This position covers all Virginia Army National Guard facilities across the Commonwealth of Virginia at the discretion of the Facility Support Branch Chief and Deputy Director of Facilities Management.
- Must be willing to travel throughout the Commonwealth, occasionally overnight;
- Technical background;
- Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing;
- Computer literate, Microsoft Word and Excel;
- Ability to analyze technical problems and recommend corrective solutions;
- Documented experience with the installation and maintenance of Army National Guard Electronic Security Systems to include, but not limited to:
Electronic Intrusion Detection Systems (EIDS), Electronic Video Management Systems (EVMS), Internet Protocol Cameras (EIPC) Systems and Electronic Physical Access Control Systems (EPACS); - Documented experience with Army National Guard Electronic Security Systems requirements for Secure Working Areas, Open Storage Areas and Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities (SCIF);
- Must have a valid Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record.
Federal Secret Security Clearance preferred.

Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance - Secret level at a minimum;
Must have, and maintain, a valid Virginia Driver’s License for the duration of employment;
