Position: Security Officer Armed Multiple Shifts
As a  Security Officer Armed Patrol Unit  in  Richmond, VA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Security Officer at a government location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication.

In this armed post, you will support daily operations with agility, reliability, and innovation, while putting people first, working as a team, and acting with integrity.

Day  Time      Tue  06:00 AM - 02:00 PM    Thur  06:00 AM - 02:00 PM    Fri  10:00 PM - 06:00 AM    Sun  02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
What You'll Do:
Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or contractors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control activities, and emergency response actions at a government location.
Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or public officials as needed.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials, control access to restricted areas, and report policy violations, suspicious activity, and/or unusual conditions according to post orders.
Carry and maintain assigned armed equipment in accordance with Allied Universal policies, post requirements, and applicable laws, while exercising sound judgment during daily duties and incident response.

Minimum Requirements:

Possess an armed guard card or license as required.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
