Role Overview

Global Security Operations Manager supports the leadership and execution of a multi‑functional security team at the Richmond Corporate Campus and reports directly to the Director of Corporate Security & Safety Operations. The role is responsible for supporting the safety and security of employees, facilities, and assets while contributing to Global Security Operations Center (GSOC) activities, including risk assessments, incident response, crisis support, and day‑to‑day security operations.

Responsibilities
  • # Leadership & Team Development:
    Direct, supervise, and support GSOC personnel, including proprietary team members and contract operators. Foster accountability, operational excellence, and continuous professional development.
  • # Operational Oversight:
    Oversee 24/7 GSOC operations, including threat monitoring, incident detection and triage, and operational readiness.
  • # Incident Management & Emergency Coordination:
    Oversee GSOC operators in identifying, documenting, and triaging incidents; coordinate video review, evidence preservation, and escalation to investigative personnel.
  • # Intelligence Monitoring & Communication:
    Oversee intelligence monitoring operations using platforms such as Everbridge; disseminate relevant intelligence and support employee communications.
  • # Security Programs, Policies & Compliance:
    Implement and enforce security protocols, conduct assessments, vulnerability analyses, operational audits, and support continuous improvement.
  • # Security Technology:
    Implement, optimize, and enhance security technologies for monitoring, detection, and response.

    Risk Management:

    Execute crisis management and emergency response plans; conduct ongoing risk assessments.
  • # Coordination & Strategic Partnerships:
    Coordinate with regional security teams, physical security personnel, vendors, and law enforcement agencies.
  • # Reporting & Performance Tracking:
    Prepare and deliver reports on security incidents, operational trends, and performance metrics.
  • # Training & Awareness:
    Support development and delivery of training programs and security awareness initiatives.
  • # Flexible Availability:
    Primarily daytime, Monday–Friday schedule with availability outside standard hours during onboarding, training, and elevated operational demand.
  • # Additional Responsibilities:
    Perform duties as needed to support development, maturity, and effectiveness of GSOC operations; contribute to policies, post orders, operational procedures, and processes.
Qualifications
  • # Basic:
    Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university; 5–8 years of experience in security operations, intelligence operations, or emergency communications; demonstrated supervisory experience or informal operational leadership.
  • # Preferred:
    Advanced security certifications (CPP, PSP); experience in GSOC operations, crisis management, personnel badging and credentialing; proficiency with security management software and incident reporting tools; familiarity with OSINT and social media monitoring.
  • # Desired:
    Ability to operate effectively under high stress, handle confidential information with discretion, strong knowledge of physical security systems, Genetec, and emergency response protocols.
