Security Operations Manager

The Security Operations Manager manages the daily operations of VCUHS’s Security Department, supervising and directing subordinate Security Supervisors, Assistant Security Supervisors, and Security Officers.

Licensure, certification, or registration requirements for hire and continued employment: N/A.

• Required: Minimum of five (5) years of security, public safety, management, or law enforcement work experience.
• Minimum of two (2) years of security/law enforcement supervisory experience.
• Associate degree from an accredited program, equivalent relevant experience, or a combination of relevant experience and education.

• Previous work experience as a sworn law enforcement officer.
• Seven (7) years of security or law enforcement work experience.
• Five (5) years of security/law enforcement supervisory experience.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice or related field.

• Responsible for managing the daily operations of the Security Department.
• Supervises and manages assigned security officers and employees.

• Rotating days off.
• Must be able to work weekends and off‑shifts as needed.
