As a Security Guard Unarmed Patrol Full Time in Richmond, VA
, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a commercial real estate location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. What You’ll Do
  • Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and/or property staff by following site-specific procedures, access protocols, and appropriate emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
  • Respond to incidents, service calls, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating with property contacts and/or public emergency personnel as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout lobbies, common areas, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and other assigned areas for security‑related concerns, assist with access control procedures, and report maintenance issues, hazards, and/or policy violations to the appropriate contact.
  • Support daily property operations by providing directions, addressing routine questions, and maintaining a professional presence while following Allied Universal standards and site‑specific expectations.
Minimum Requirements
  • Possess 1+ years of security‑related experience.
  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
