Security Operations Manager

Please note: this role requires a minimum of 5 years of security, public safety, management, or law enforcement work experience and a minimum of 2 years of security/law enforcement supervisory experience.

The Security Operations Manager manages the daily operations of VCUHS's Security Department. This position supervises and directs subordinate Security Supervisors, Assistant Security Supervisors, and Security Officers.

• Minimum of five (5) years of security, public safety, management, or law enforcement work experience.
• Minimum of two (2) years of security/law enforcement supervisory experience.

• Previous work experience as a sworn law enforcement officer.
• Seven (7) years of security or law enforcement work experience.
• Five (5) years of security/law enforcement supervisory experience.

• Associate degree from an accredited program, equivalent relevant experience, or a combination of relevant experience and education.

• Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice or related field.

• Responsible for managing the daily operations of the Security Department.

• Supervises and manages assigned security officers/employees.

• Rotating days off.
• Must be able to work weekends and off‐shifts as needed.

Lifting 20-50 lbs.

Prolonged standing, prolonged sitting, frequent bending, walking (distance), climbing (steps, ladder, other), reaching (overhead, extensive, repetitive).
