As a Security Officer Patrol Badge Check in Richmond, VA
, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as commercial real estate. As an unarmed patrol officer, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to deter security‑related incidents, support access awareness, assist tenants and visitors with professionalism, and contribute to a welcoming environment.

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and property staff by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, property concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, documenting details and communicating with site contacts as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout lobbies, common areas, parking areas, stairwells, and the exterior perimeter to deter unwanted activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points, observe building activity, and report maintenance issues, hazards, and/or suspicious behavior to the appropriate site representatives.
• Support daily operations at a commercial real estate location by assisting with visitor directions, answering routine questions, and following post orders for after‑hours coverage and/or special property needs.

• Security‑related experience of 1+ years is required.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
