Job Scope
The HVAC Lead Installer will install at least 3 heating and air conditioning systems per week, complete frontline services and repairs, supervise the Install Assistant, maintain high quality standards, and achieve performance metrics and productivity goals.
Job SummaryThe HVAC Lead Installer ensures all installations of Heating and Cooling products (Heat Pumps, HVAC, Gas or Oil furnaces, Boilers) are completed promptly, comply with all code requirements, and provide excellent customer service while promoting and selling additional products and services that impact company profitability.
Reports ToArea Manager, HVAC
Responsibilities- Installs new Heating and Air Conditioning systems and related accessories according to company, safety, and manufacturer specifications.
- Ensures complete protection of customer's property during installation or service.
- Removes all old equipment and cleans up installation areas.
- Maintains highest level of customer service and promotes additional products and services.
- Supervises Install Assistant to ensure high-quality and timely completions.
- Maintains time management and quality standards.
- Manages material inventory and vehicle maintenance per company requirements.
- Obtains and processes permits based on applicable code requirements.
- Coaches and trains others on company operating policies relevant to HVAC installation.
- Performs additional duties as assigned.
- Technical school degree or equivalent.
- 3-4 years of related experience.
- License/certification in relevant field.
- Valid driver's license for state of employment.
- Up to 100% travel.
- 18 years of age or older.
- Applicable CFC License.
- Strong communication and technical reading skills.
- Complete knowledge of HVAC tools, equipment, and materials.
- English proficiency.
- Ability to receive truck stock at the residence if a company vehicle is retained.
- Willingness to work variable and flexible hours, including significant overtime, overnight, and Sunday service.
- Ability to follow industry regulations related to hazardous materials handling.
- Physical ability to lift up to 75 lbs., bend, stoop, kneel, stretch, twist, reach, and climb frequently.
- Ability to drive long distances and in various weather conditions.
- Ability to navigate interior and exterior landscapes and varying terrain.
- Commitment to safe work practices and coaching others on safety and professionalism.
- Positive role model representing the company image and maintaining professionalism at all times.
- Strong HVAC diagnostics knowledge and experience.
- Residential HVAC and duct installation experience.
2-5 years of experience.
Travel RequirementsRoad Warrior (75% or more).
