Primary Responsibilities

Install, service, troubleshoot, and program burglar alarms, fire alarms, CCTV, and access control systems.
Verify that all equipment is fully functional and operating as designed.
Diagnose system issues and identify root causes to determine appropriate repairs or replacements.
Replace or upgrade system components as needed, including panels, audible and visual alarms, and related hardware.
Provide technical support to customers, including remote troubleshooting of signal, format, and receiver issues.
Maintain a professional and customer-focused approach in all interactions.
Coordinate with management and dispatch to prioritize and complete service work efficiently.
Communicate service status updates to ensure timely decision making and resolution.
Perform testing and inspections on fire alarm systems in accordance with applicable standards.
Maintain assigned vehicle, tools, and equipment in good working condition.

Basic Qualifications

Working knowledge of national and local alarm codes, including NFPA 72, NEC, and Florida Building Code.
Demonstrated reliability, punctuality, and consistent attendance.
Strong communication skills and ability to complete required field documentation accurately.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and safely use step and extension ladders.
High school diploma or GED.
Valid driver's license.
Basic proficiency with computers and tablets.

Preferred Qualifications

NICET certification.
Manufacturer certifications such as Siemens, Notifier, Honeywell, or Bosch.
FASA/BASA credentials.
At least one year of experience servicing burglar alarm systems.
At least one year of experience with CCTV or IP-CCTV systems.
At least one year of experience with access control systems.
