Installation Technician, Security Systems Installation
Job Overview
Under direct supervision, complete assigned programming, commissioning, basic troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance of security systems per contract obligations.
Responsibilities- Assist experienced personnel with solutions to system problems, either troubleshooting or advising on resolution.
- Understand core and third‑party security products, software, and systems/electrical technology.
- Assist in performing required commissioning documentation.
- Provide accurate as‑built documentation.
- Adhere to safety standards and local and national codes, with a high degree of regard to employee and subcontractor safety.
- Communicate with customers upon arrival and before leaving the work site.
- Maintain continuous proactive customer interactions, including understanding customer needs and existing systems.
- Assist in monitoring project execution per plan.
- Report problems or changes to supervisor or management.
- Complete paperwork and on‑site documentation as required.
- Perform self‑study (reading, research, practice) to obtain technical proficiency on required products and applications.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma plus 3+ years of experience installing security systems.
- Electronics certification from an accredited technical school or military electronics training (desired).
- Demonstrated effective interpersonal skills to represent the company to customers and other outside contacts.
- Basic computer skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to explain technical information to non‑technical people.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Experience with C CURE / Software House.
- Experience in the security industry with basic knowledge of database structure, network configuration, and analysis.

HIRING HOURLY RANGE: $26–$36 (Hourly rate determined by education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
