Security Alarm Systems Installation

Job Overview

Under direct supervision, complete assigned programming, commissioning, basic troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance of security systems per contract obligations.

• Assist experienced personnel with solutions to system problems, either troubleshooting or advising on resolution.
• Understand core and third‑party security products, software, and systems/electrical technology.
• Assist in performing required commissioning documentation.
• Provide accurate as‑built documentation.
• Adhere to safety standards and local and national codes, with a high degree of regard to employee and subcontractor safety.
• Communicate with customers upon arrival and before leaving the work site.
• Maintain continuous proactive customer interactions, including understanding customer needs and existing systems.
• Assist in monitoring project execution per plan.
• Report problems or changes to supervisor or management.
• Complete paperwork and on‑site documentation as required.
• Perform self‑study (reading, research, practice) to obtain technical proficiency on required products and applications.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• High school diploma plus 3+ years of experience installing security systems.
• Electronics certification from an accredited technical school or military electronics training (desired).
• Demonstrated effective interpersonal skills to represent the company to customers and other outside contacts.
• Basic computer skills.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to explain technical information to non‑technical people.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

• Experience with C CURE / Software House.
• Experience in the security industry with basic knowledge of database structure, network configuration, and analysis.

HIRING HOURLY RANGE: $26–$36 (Hourly rate determined by education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
