Diesel Generator Field Technician at D2B Groups Richmond, VA

Overview

We are currently seeking a skilled Diesel Generator Technician to join our team. As a Generator Field Technician, you will be responsible for performing maintenance and repairs on generators in the field, including load bank testing, major and minor repairs, and PMs. Working with a variety of generator models and sizes, you will ensure their optimal performance and reliability.

• Perform maintenance and repairs on generators in the shop.
• Conduct diagnostic tests to identify issues and determine appropriate repairs.
• Replace faulty parts and components, ensuring proper installation and adjustment.
• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on generators.
• Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities.
• Comply with safety regulations and protocols.

• Previous experience as a generator technician or similar role.
• Strong electrical and mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot generator issues.
• Knowledge of generator safety protocols.
• Excellent problem‑solving and communication skills.
