Plumber, Maintenance Technician / Mechanic
Colonial Webb is seeking an experienced plumber. In this role, you will focus on commercial plumbing in our Special Projects division.

- Assemble, install, and repair pipes, fittings, and fixtures of heating, water, and drainage systems, according to specifications and plumbing codes.
- Cut pipe using pipe cutters, port-a-band saw, cutting torch, and pipe cutting machine
- Thread pipe, using a threading machine
- Join piping using grooved, threaded, soldered, brazed, fused.
- Assemble and install valves, pipe fittings, and pipes composed of metals, such as iron, steel, brass, copper, and nonmetals, such as plastic, using hand tools and power tools
- Join pipes by use of screws, bolts, fittings, solder, plastic solvent, and caulk joints
- Perform system pressure tests for inspections
- Test piping systems for leaks
- Install and repair plumbing fixtures such as sinks, water closets, bathtubs, water heaters, hot water tanks and water softeners
- Perform any other task needed to ensure the proper installation and repair of plumbing equipment and components
- Work experience as a Plumber Mechanic for commercial projects. (Journeyman level experience is preferred, but not required)
- Experience with layouts and ability to read and work from drawings
- Ability to direct and support the work of a helper or apprentice
- Safety-minded and knowledge of OSHA safety regulations
- Initiative; self-motivated, self-starter
- Knowledge of basic construction/shop math
- Knowledge of International Plumbing Code (IPC)
- Positive attitude and willing to work in a team environment
- Ability to work without direct supervision
- A reliable source of transportation to and from work
