Colonial Webb is seeking an experienced Electrical Superintendent to provide field leadership and technical support for large-scale commercial electrical projects.
As a superintendent, you will oversee change-outs, retrofits, and installations for complex electrical systems and associated control systems on large-scale commercial projects ranging from $100K to $3M projects. Additionally, you will direct the day-to-day work activities of other mechanics, apprentices, and helpers (groups of 10-15) to ensure projects are completed safely and in accordance with budget and quality standards.
Colonial Webb is a full-service MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) contractor dedicated to delivering comprehensive solutions and unmatched service to commercial customers.
LocationThis position is based out of headquarters in Richmond, VA. Projects/jobsites will range anywhere up to an hour away from Richmond.

- Supervise and coordinate work activities for electrical mechanics, apprentices, and helpers
- Manage 10-15 electricians at a time
- Provide guidance and demonstrate best practices to other electricians, apprentices, and helpers
- Perform/aid in electrical installation when needed
- Demonstrate a passion for safety and help the team understand that safety is the top priority
- Teach and coach behaviors that will truly prevent injury
- In collaboration with the Electrical Project Manager, discuss labor and material requirements and evaluate work in progress to ensure electrical services meet scheduling, budget, and quality standards
- Current or previous leadership experience as a Lead Electrician, Foreman, Supervisor, or Superintendent working on commercial electrical projects
- In-depth experience and knowledge of commercial electrical and control systems
- 7+ years of experience (preferred, but not required)
- Journeyman or Master’s Electrical License (preferred, but not required)
- Ability to interpret blueprint drawings and plans
- Safety minded and thorough knowledge of OSHA safety regulations
- Experience and demonstrated skills in Microsoft office and internet usage
- High energy level to handle dynamic, evolving, and fast‑paced workload
- Skillful listener, with excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills
- Clean driving record and ability to pass a drug screen and background check
