Master Welder III

Summary:

The Master Welder III serves as the shop's advanced welding specialist and technical expert. This position performs critical welding applications, supports procedure development, and provides technical leadership for welding operations.

• Perform MIG, FCAW, SMAW, GTAW, SAW
• Perform advanced welding on carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum
• Successfully execute carbon arc gouging
• Produce x‑ray quality welds for critical applications
• Assist with WPS development, qualification, and implementation
• Support quality investigations and welding procedure improvements
• Train and certify welders
• Serve as technical advisor during fabrication planning
• Lead specialty welding projects

• Extensive multi‑process welding experience
• Demonstrated ability to consistently achieve NDT acceptance
• Experience with pressure vessels, critical structures, or specialty alloys preferred
• Advanced blueprint and welding code interpretation
