A Qualified Electrical Worker is responsible for performing various electrical tasks while ensuring adherence to safety standards and regulations. This role requires a thorough understanding of electrical systems, the ability to diagnose and repair issues, and a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures.
- Ensure that work is in accordance with relevant codes and safety standards.
- Conduct tests and inspections of electrical systems to ensure proper functioning.
- Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem.
- Direct and train other workers to install, maintain, or repair electrical wiring or equipment.
- Adhere to all workplace safety policies, regulations, and standards.
- Proven experience as an electrical worker.
- In-depth knowledge of electrical systems and their components.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Relevant license and certification.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of an electrician apprenticeship program or equivalent training and experience.
