Field Diesel Mechanic

Overview

This is a full-time, over-the-road position for a Field Diesel Mechanic specializing in the repair, maintenance, and advanced diagnostics of diesel-powered trucks and heavy construction equipment. The Field Diesel Mechanic is responsible for major mechanical repairs and plays a critical role in maintaining the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of Liesfeld’s fleet by minimizing downtime and supporting field operations. This position is best suited for a highly skilled diesel mechanic with 3–5 years of hands‑on experience working on heavy equipment and commercial trucks, including extensive experience performing engine and transmission work such as pull‑outs, rebuilds, and installations.

Strong diagnostic capabilities across mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems are essential. Additional requirements include strong attention to detail, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work independently or collaboratively in a fast‑paced field and shop environment.
