Commercial HVAC Service Technician Old Dominion Mechanical, LLC
Salary: $17.00-$46.00/Hour
Old Dominion Mechanical, LLC is looking for a skilled Commercial HVAC Service Technician to join our team. As a Service Technician, you'll be responsible for maintaining and repairing a variety of commercial HVAC equipment, including rooftop units, split systems, heat pumps, air handlers, boilers, and control systems. This role is field-based and requires someone who is organized, safety-focused, and comfortable working in a variety of environments.
Key Responsibilities:- Diagnosing and repair issues across a wide range of commercial HVAC systems
- Perform preventive maintenance to ensure system efficiency and longevity
- Inspect, test, and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical components
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical documentation
- Service refrigerant systems in compliance with EPA standards
- Communicate clearly with customers regarding system issues and recommendations
- Accurately complete service reports and documentation
- Maintain company vehicle, tools, and inventory
- Participate in an on-call rotation for after-hours service needs
- 2+ years of commercial HVAC service experience
- EPA Section 608 Certification (required)
- OSHA 10 or 30 certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days)
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Strong troubleshooting skills and mechanical aptitude
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple service calls
This position requires working at commercial job sites, including rooftops and mechanical rooms, in both indoor and outdoor conditions. Technicians must be able to lift 50+ lbs and perform physical tasks such as climbing, kneeling, and standing for extended periods.
