Asa Traffic Control Supervisor ,youwillberesponsibleforthesafeandeffectivesetup,maintenance,andtakedownofworkzonesinaccordancewiththe

Virginia Work Area Protection Manual (VWAPM) andclientspecifications.

Youwillsuperviseacrewinthefield,coordinatejobreadiness,maintainaccuratereports,andensuretheworkzoneprotectsbothworkersandthetravelingpublic.

• Leadandoverseetrafficcontrolcrewsinsettingup,monitoring,andremovingworkzones
• EnsurealloperationsmeetVWAPMandproject-specific standards
• Driveandoperatenon-CDLflatbedorconetrucks(18’–24’)asneeded
• Communicatewithcontractors,clients,andcompanyleadershipregardingdailysiteoperations
• Documentjobsiteactivity,crew attendance,andsafetyconcerns
• Maintainacleanandorganizedworkvehicle,equipment,and materials
• Respondtoemergenciesandadjusttrafficcontrolsetupsinrealtime
• Coachandtraincrewmembersonbestpracticesandjobexpectations
• Fosterapositive,safety-focusedenvironmentoneveryproject
• Represent Spivey Serviceswithprofessionalismandrespectinthefield

Required:

• Musthave Valid Virginia Driver ’sLicense
• Musthaveatleasttwo(2) yearsoffieldexperienceintrafficcontrolorconstruction
• Musthavestrongunderstandingofbasictrafficcontrolprinciplesandsafetyprocedures
• Musthaveexperiencedrivinglargertrucks(18’–24’)—(CDLnotrequired)
• Mustdemonstratetheabilitytoleadsmallteamsinthefieldwithprofessionalismandurgency
• Mustbeabletoworkdayornightshiftsasassigned
• Mustbeabletopassbackgroundcheckanddrugscreen
• Mustbeabletoliftfifty(50)+lbsandperformstrenuousoutdoortasks
• Mustbecomfortableworkinginallweatherconditions
• Mustbeabletostand,walk,lift,andloadequipmentthroughoutshift
• Mustbeabletotraveltoandfrommultiplejobsiteswithintheregion
• Mustbeavailablefornights,weekends,andemergencyresponsedeployments

Preferred:

• American Traffic Safety Services Association (ATSSA)
  Certification(Flaggeror Traffic Control Supervisor )
• Occupational Safety Health Association (OSHA)10or30
• Previousleadershiporcrewchiefexperience
• Strongcommunicationandreportingskills
• Abilitytointerpretandimplementtrafficcontrolplans
