Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Commercial HVAC Service Technician responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining commercial HVAC equipment throughout the Richmond market. This role is focused entirely on service work and preventative maintenance, supporting a variety of commercial clients while delivering high-quality customer service and technical expertise.
The ideal candidate will have a strong commercial service background, excellent diagnostic skills, and the ability to work independently in the field. This position is best suited for technicians who enjoy solving complex equipment issues, interacting with customers, and taking ownership of their service territory.
Responsibilities- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair commercial HVAC systems
- Perform preventative maintenance on a variety of commercial equipment
- Service rooftop units (RTUs), split systems, refrigeration equipment, and associated controls
- Respond to scheduled and emergency service calls
- Document repairs, findings, and recommendations accurately
- Communicate professionally with customers regarding equipment conditions and repair options
- Maintain a safe work environment and follow all applicable safety procedures
- Coordinate with dispatch and management to complete daily service schedules
- Manage multiple service calls while maintaining quality workmanship
Required
- 5+ years of commercial HVAC service experience
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities
- Experience servicing commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Strong customer service and communication skills - Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
Preferred
- EPA Certification
- Experience with refrigeration systems
- Experience working in a service-driven environment
- Strong electrical and controls troubleshooting experience
